I have a Galaxy S23+ that just updated. I've never seen this oval with the number in it. Anyone know what or is and how to get rid of it?

They flashed me to 5.1.1 again, a reflash. But they didn't offer to go back to KitKat. I didn't ask, though.

I didn't even realize there was a Swype support. Thanks so much for the link. I'll try informing them. In the meantime, I downloaded a keyboard from Google Play that seems to work.

I'm talking about the keyboard that came with the S5. I never downloaded a separate one. It was just a checkbox that said you could swype to text. I had Best Buy do a software reflash, which also didn't work. Then they had me download an app from Google and that seemed to work. Doesn't fix...

Do NOT do this update if you use Swype! Makes it worthless after the update and there is currently no fix, even a master reset. I now have a phone that isn't even paid off that won't let me use Swype. Samsung's suggestion? Take it to Best Buy and see what they'd charge to look at it. Grrr!!!
