I still enjoy mine. How did you replace the battery? I've not noticed a lot of battery decline but I don't use it too much. I've never rooted a device so far, but I am assuming if you root, you can get Marshmallow.

Will any current Nexus phone work on VZ?

I'll hang on to mine until it doesn't work any more - no idea how long that will be - but it's still a good device, great specs. I'm not one who always needs the newest toy.

Got mine almost 1 year ago; I'm not rooted, running stock. Am very happy & not looking for any replacement (am on VZ)
