Update for you: I went to 2 Verizon stores this weekend and they basically said my brand new Galaxy S10 was defective. Would explain why Edge lighting was not working and the screen wake up wasn't working and other things as well. I was able to get a replacement and although I haven't gone back...

Thank you for your time. Earlier today I tried the reset settings and still the same thing happened (or didn't happen I should say) I might try a Verizon store and see if they can help. It's so frustrating when the phone can't handle basic functions.

Brand new from Verizon..literally just got it on Thursday and haven't really done much to it. Did Smart Switch with old phone to get contacts and some pics. But not much else. Added like 3 other apps, created internet bookmarks and have spent the rest of the time trying to get basic...

No because I didn't want my texts showing up and anyone reading them if left on a table or during a meeting. Do you think that may be the conflict?

Yes, because I only want it for Texts and voice mail. I thought you could select which apps? Too many settings on this S10! I have those apps selected, which are not 3rd party apps.

No, just the regular Messages app from Samsung. When I get a text, all i get is the sound notification. No icon on Lock screen, and phone doesn't wake.

I have the opposite problem..no matter what I do, I can't get my S10 to wake up for a text notification even though I think everything is set to do so!

I have Edge Lighting turned on for texts, but it just won't work. I have the settings correct and when I contacted Samsung, they told me to do a settings reset which I did, but still nothing! Also, how do I get my phone to wake when I get a text?

Edge Lighting is turned on, notifications set to sound and pop up, contacted Samsung, was told to reset settings which I did. Still nothing. Also, I can't get my screen to wake up when a text comes in. So maddening with all the settings on here.
