Yes, I'm connecting it the right way. And it's not working when it's connected on the front side of the board or on the back side. It only worked once.

I dropped my phone and cracked the screen so I bought a new screen. I disassembled the phone and removed the old display. I then connected the new display like this to test it and it worked. I unplugged the screen and installed it the way it's supposed to be (with the screen on the front)...
