Re: unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped I had this problem too. None of the suggestions fixed it (including uninstall/reinstall, factory reset, etc). I had to flash with the original rom THEN do a factory reset again. THAT finally resolved the issue.

What the...... So, I flashed back to the stock firmware. After it booted it downloaded some updates. After the reboot I tested.... I STILL GET THE SAME ERROR?!?!

Ha... for sure. I thought "Google can't be an important core app". I'm finishing up flashing the stock rom. I'll report back with my success or failure.
