The local Verizon retail store that ordered my phone tells me that they now have it, but can't release it until their district manager authorizes it. They claim that they probably won't be able to release it to me until the 15th.

Just went to local store & ordered my wife's Note 8. The store gave me $100 off the Gear S3 Frontier instead of $50 like the Verizon online rep told me. Now I gotta wait for this watch to charge fully before I get to play with it....I hate waiting!!!! lol

With the Note 8, if you go with a 2 year contract on the watch, you get $50 off the Gear S3 Frontier or $100 off the Gear S3. Looks like I'm ordering my S3 Frontier.....

Just got one Verizon website & had a chat with a representative. I told her that people's trackers have delivery dates that are be15 Sept. Her response was "that's neat". I said " it contraindicates what you're saying - who has the right answer? She said "I do - they won't receive the phones...

I wonder who is telling the store not to activate it? Samsung or Verizon corporate office? The guy wasn't 100% positive; let's hope he's wrong.

Verizon store just told me that my phone will be there on 04 Sept, but that they can't release it until the 15th (when the phone is officially launched). What's the point in pre-ordering if you can't have it when it arrives?
