Unfortunately, those two phones were made in 2015 and 2016. I would like a phone with removable batteries that are being made currently.

All I can suggest is using a different charger and then using a different battery. But you have probably tried that.

I am still using my three-year-old Note 4 and I'm not having any problems with it at all. I'm not looking forward to using a phone that will lose 80 to 90% of its charge capacity in one year and be basically unusable by the second year. Also the Note 8 does not receive the 700 megahertz band...

The reason I bought the v20 is that it had a removable battery. If the V 30 doesn't then my options will be very limited, like resurrecting my Note 4.

Were you able to apply for a rebate while buying your phone at the Chicago store?

I bought my v20 directly from T-Mobile online on October 17th. The problem is I am having some difficulty in getting the rebate. When I called T-Mobile they knew nothing about a rebate. When I go to the store they say I should have applied for the rebate at the time of buying the phone. I did...

All I have in my SD card are movies and TV shows. So I don't care whether it is encrypted or not.

This is normal for cheap digital camera lenses when very light and very dark areas are adjacent. Look up purple fringing on Wikipedia. Good Canon or Nikon DSLR lenses can cost upwards of $500. And that is for the lens only, not the sensor.

I would be happy with a plastic body too. I always put a case on my phones.

Given the replaceable battery, the IR blaster, the second screen, the non glass non plastic build, the new operating system, and the nice cameras I am sure I will get the v20. I will wait for the reviews though to see if the battery life is unacceptably short and the IPS screen lacks contrast.

If I had a phone with a glass back I would most definitely put a case on it. Therefore, I can't see the advantage of having a glass backed phone. A plastic back with a case is just fine with me.
