It was just an added feature that was possible i seen in an old phone no reason for debate over laziness technology to keep us from getting out of our seat....but i will say infrared isnt antiquated and is used in many things currently and even the US military uses sophisticated heat seeking...

I think the galaxy note is 7-8 months ahead of its time i do believe apple will be launching many features in its next generation of phones that the 9 already has such as a bluetooth pencil and perhaps the notch will be gone.

Settings>device maintenance >battery >triple dot in upper right corner> advanced settings> toggle off/on fast charging.

Its actually pretty good honestly on slow charge i mean fast charging def cuts 30 mins off but its not bad i keep mine on slow due to the heat generated on fast charging

What tv company do you know that has dropped infrared for RF or BT yes my satellite reciever uses ir and rf but TVs 98% are ir that cant be antiquated

As long as its easy to hide in the design i dont see the issue however if its ugly and sticks out yes dont put it in hell the pen could have it on one end and add 3 extra buttons for some extra function.

Seems like a oretty good feature im new to the note series but a universal remote seems like it would be icing on the cake for the note 9 does anyone know why it was removed?

Im really interested even though the note 8 is very similar i would love to see an interview or know who the design team is and see some prototypes im a nerd i guess and would love to see the history behind the note 9 so if anyone has some links to share please do thanks!

I mean i love the phone i came from an iphone 7 plus but apple never really used the battery as a selling point and the note 9 seems very much on par with what i was used to on my 7 plus both have good batteries now the difference in the screen is insane so vibrant and beautiful i love it.
