yes, i know they took it away but is there no alternative? no other way to do it? so if the app doesnt have the option within, then we jus stuck with no options??? that seems like going against the customization that is Android. (Thanks for your response)

my issue since upgrading to Android 12 has been the - Recent Apps Button issue which though they say they sent a fix, i have the updated version of Samsung Home and my issue still persist. - Apparently the notifications has changed. i can no longer set individual colours for each app. all...

don't even know if I want to upgrade to Android 13, just seems like features that I use always disappear with an upgrade.

so my recent apps issue still isnt rectified. i really dont want to factory reset nor do i want to clear data on Home One UI to have to set up all my folders and stuff again. always making me regret doing a software update but i know not being on the latest release sometimes isnt best either but...

and i am very very sad and upset with that fact. my midrange A71 does not get some of the options the flagships have, so i was using edge lighting + to obtain those additional options. why do companies just kill off what is working good for people.

so glad i found this thread. got the Galaxy A71 and only got the Android 12 One UI 4.1 update yesterday. was on Android 11 One UI 3.0 after the update, i had the same issue with the recent apps. only showing samsung apps. 24hrs after i have noticed that the recent apps are no longer showing...

i was reading on a samsung thread that "it takes time to learn" and that it "wasnt a bug but a feature" i'm just glad its being rectified.

wonder when samsung plans to roll out android 12 to the A71, as of now i see it will make it to the A71 5G but not the 4G model which i have. so how long will i have to wait. considering samsung did promise atleasat 3 major updates. i got one when i went from 10 to 11, my issue is upgrading...

hav been using the A71 jus over 1 year now, it is a good device, one might sacrifice the macro lens for a telephoto but, good screen, good storage etc for a midrange phone.

it sad for me that Samsung or any of the developers have just forgotten about edge lighting plus for us midrange people, since i updated my A71 to Android 12 the feature has been dull and the etras have never come back. i hope they do better

i have asked this in another thread, and as i am currently using gboard, have been considering going back to samsung keyboard, see if i can get keys cafe to work nd do some customizations or i jus might try out swift key since its being getting good reviews in here.

not trying to get rid of it, just wondering, since you mentioned it. maybe its just samsung way of telling me use what is built in. when i open Routines in my Nice Lock set, it asks me to transfer to Bixby Routines, so i dont even know what the difference is between them. just want to know...

so i use Nice Lock due to Good Lock "not available in my region" and i always get a message on my phone telling me to use Bixby instead of Routines.
