You can't really get mad at Samsung for not supporting this. At the end of the day, its a PHONE and they should not be diverting resources and manpower into making it possible to plug in an ethernet cable into the phone. There are soooo few people that actually need this functionality

Turning off notifications for it does not work. You still get the popup icon that overlays the screen every once in a while. Its a window that peaks from the bottom of the screen and doesnt go away until you swipe it up and then hit No I think.
