Your lucky s2 9.7 here in the UK running 5.0.2 and February's security update mine is going back tomorrow £350 far too much should be 100 quid less, don't get me wrong love the slate but overpriced considering the lack of any updates here in the UK...

Sounds like a permission problem to me.... Worst case scenario backup and reformat it..

Yeah I looked at their firmware wage before I even posted here the other day.. If you look at both models and see which regions have anything past 5.0.2 it makes even less sense... I think the tablet is going back today, even though it's not so old they can't keep on top of security updates let...

No its not "my model" said many times I have the 9.7 the 8 IS getting updates here... I have a S2 sm-t810 9.7 wifi

Any sensible oem updates their top of the line devices first (forgetting their phone market, but even taking that into consideration, S7 and edge then S2) the S2 forget the others until then... As I said before mine is wifi only so no basebands to worry about...

It sounds like it's corrupted the download to me and if that's the case unless you have root not much you can do... I stand to be corrected I'm no uber expert... (same hardware 3 OS versions and 4 security updates in front of the UK :( )

It's very strange btw the 8 inch here in the UK has mm just not the 9.7 yet in other regions it seems to be the other way, it's more than strange and Samsung need to get a grip and sort out their update cycles.. They can't be soak testing publicly in various regions, as I'm sure your aware this...

I'm don't own a nexus device since the n4 phone... Have an old oneplus one running all the latest Android security updates, shame a huge company like Samsung arnt as on the ball.. Oh and oneplus one are slow really slow... So how come people with the same hardware as me in the USA had 5.1 then...

It's the lack of security updates that worries me more... They haven't released any in the UK since February.... Also.... Lollipop 5.0.2 (LRX22G) version was released for the first-generation Nexus 7 on December 19, 2014. So say two months after that it would have been available for OEMs

For a £350 tablet you at least expect upto date security patches and how old is 5.0.2 it's not really good enough is it....

I have 30 days to return it and seriously considering it.... The support is **** poor.

Not in the UK we never got 5.1.1 or any security updates since February, I have checked their firmware page...
