HTC 10 going back, I'm going to iOS

I whole-heartedly disagree on the keyboard topic (for me, Swype is easily the best keyboard out there), but if you don't swipe, then yes, I can see why you'd like the iOS keyboard (which is, for the most part, one of the few things I don't have an issue with in iOS). Given OP's comments, it...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

So in essence, the unlocked GSM S7, correct? Which basically means if you're on Verizon or Sprint you're screwed, but as usual, those lucky enough to be on a GSM network get rewarded. I read that a different camera sensor was in the Exynos versions, so I'd be interested to see if there are any...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

I think the S7 is just about the best looking phone out there (partially because I had an M7, so the 10's design isn't quite as exciting to me), but I'll definitely agree about the fingerprint thing; I just gave up caring after a couple days. However, I've never understood the "this phone is...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

For what it's worth, the S7 doesn't have an IR blaster, unfortunately. It's one of the few things I miss from my Note 4. Too bad, too, because I used to use my phone as a remote all the time.

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

I think the newer wireless chargers handle heat decently (I'm using the one Samsung gave away with the S7), although I do think the older ones kind of sucked (I had an old square Samsung one for my Note 4, and I think it and quick charge ruined the battery). I'm a little more paranoid about...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

I think wireless charging isn't something anyone really needs, but once you have it, it's definitely nice. I keep my phone on the wireless charger over night, so that i can easily grab the phone/put it back down when need be. But if I need to charge quickly, obviously using a cable is the way to go.

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

I think the issue with the 10 not being "better" than the S7 actually has nothing to do with what you or I think about the phone (it seems great), but more about the overall public perception of HTC and their phones. At this point Samsung has the vast majority of the Android mindshare among...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

Re: HTC 10 or Samsung Galaxy S7 Yeah, I genuinely don't understand that at ALL. If I were in the market for the 10, I'd be seriously pissed.

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

Re: HTC 10 or Samsung Galaxy S7 I like audio quality myself (not enough to choose a phone strictly on that basis, but still), but the big issue with gambling on that as a differentiator, is enough people would have to have quality source music and headphones to make it worthwhile. The majority...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

Yeah, we're 100% in agreement, I think. I just am really lazy, so have stopped carrying around my DSLR since my phone functions "well enough." For certain things (depth of field from more than 3", night time stuff, fast-moving objects, etc.), there's no comparison. However, I don't end up in...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

See, that's the problem--1) Comparing a DSLR to a phone camera is still useless on certain aspects of photography. The wayyyyyyyyyyyy smaller sensors in phones means they'll be coming up very short in the low-light dept. until something very big changes in sensor tech. 2) Generally my low-light...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

Yeah, I have no comparison to make, because I haven't used an iPhone since my gf's 5s, never had an S6, and don't have the new Nexus. With that being said, I've read plenty of reviews online that reference it (the S7) having either the best or close to the best camera out there, so I think it's...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

It's interesting, if you check various sites for their camera comparisons, there's a huge variety of conclusions. Some say the S7 is the best camera in a current phone (it's certainly the best I'VE used, but that doesn't mean much), and others praise the 5X/6P, etc.

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

Good lord (wo)man, speaking of looking silly. Has it really gotten this bad on the Android forums, that we're having to resort to calling the top phones on the market "piece(s) of junk"? By literally no metric is the S7 (or HTC 10, for that matter) a piece of junk. The S7 is getting almost...

HTC 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

I honestly think this is more of an Audi VS BMW VS Mercedes discussion than a Ferrari VS 1985 Toyota Tercel one. There's no wrong answer, just an answer that ends up being better for the individual user. I've never had a water resistant phone before, and never needed it. However, I've also...
