It does not ask for a password - it just crashes Settings. And you cannot uninstall updates to Play Services (to rollback to a previous version) as long as that option is checked in Device Administrators.

Yeah... especially since that's what is shown at the top of the period key, implying the ellipsis (the technical name of the 3 dot symbol) would be the long press default for that key, though when you long press the period key, that's not even one of the twelve choices displayed. :|

Instead of dealing with the hassle of downgrading, how about a way to add the Sound toggle back to the Device Options popup menu (long press Power button at lock screen)... that's the only thing I miss about 4.4.x Kit-Kat; I *really* don't understand why that was removed.

If you're unable to uninstall it and it's not on your home screens, open it in Apps, then tap the gear icon for its Settings. Ensure both Widgets are disabled... that should get rid of the floating icon on your lock screen.
