So, from the responses it seems like it will be a gamble either way. It certainly doesn't sound like the EVO is bulletproof in the connectivity department, so I could be trading one problematic device for another. But if I don't trade in by Wednesday, the Sammy might never be right. I will...

I'm still curious about whether the EVO has been having the same messaging and cellular problems. I don't want to go to the trouble of setting up the EVO, only to find out its having the same issues as the Sammy. Also, will the RAM difference between them make any difference in performance?

f1nzup, were you having any issues with texts not sending, or poor cell reception? Those are the two big problems I'm having.

Thanks for the detailed response! I'm in Central Florida. We got TS Debbie through here, but she was just a big rain maker. There really shouldn't be any difference with the network now versus last week when I was still running the EVO 3D.
