I have the same problem with my play store and I have yet to find out how to reinstall it back in my phone. When I search Google for it they bring up the Google playstore app. But without the factory one, you can't install anything. It's bull s--it because they supposedly updated their security...

They do that deliberately because they can't stand people who don't buy new phones every year and want to keep the phones they have because of all the money you already have invested. It's a rip off that they no longer offer updates for older phones.

I can't download a new play store because Google updated their security and wiped out my playstore app. They want you to use Google play store. But I can't do that without the factory one. How do I reinstall play store??.

I have tried repeatedly to download playstore to my Galaxy S4 phone and it will not allow me to do so. And I'm really sick of Google making changes in the system that caused 2 to louse my app to begin with. If they update their systems they should update all so everyone's programs are completed.
