I have a clear silicone case for mine for when I'm at work, etc. but when I'm at home or using anywhere for an extended time I take it out, let it breath and enjoy the premium feel.

I think the One is awesome in standby mode, even better than my previous S3 which was pretty good. When not used at night over a 9 hour period I only get a 3% drop.

This ^^^^^ The S3 is still a really good modern phone so keep it for a little while longer if you can't find a phone for you that's out at the mo. The One and the S4 are better but the S3 is still a very capable device.

I use my old S3 car charger with mine and can use Google Nav or M8 without losing any charge. Over the space of an hour I would actually gain a few percent (not much, but some). Have screen brightness around 50% + bluetooth on for the hands free.

Yeah mine gets warm as well when it's being worked hard. Nothing to worry about, my S3 was the same but as said above it used to develop a hot spot. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

Exactly. I Bought a decent Fuji 12mp for when I want to take quality shots on vacations, etc and print them off. As a quick snapper the One does a great job and does it at a lightning speed. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

Bang on the money ;) ... you have to select it from the notification bar once you are typing in a text box. Swype now enabled :D To be fair the trace keyboard on the One is pretty good but Swype is better. Cheers for the replies
