    Still a good purchase?

I know right! Google's always releasing lackluster devices (in terms of functionnalities) whereas Samsung does the exact opposite. Maybe something in between! :P I was also considering the S10 but given it's already had one software update, there's only one left and it's a bit more expensive...

    Still a good purchase?

Ha ha ha! ;) Yeah I'm sure it'll be great. I would have gotten the 3a last year if they had a 128 GB version.

    Still a good purchase?

Great thanks everyone! I'll pass then and maybe wait for the 4a. :)

    Still a good purchase?

Sorry about that price ha ha! It's a carrier so it's either $930 canadian so $675.76 upright or $10 for 24 months so $240 which is $175 US. I was waiting for the 4a because I need more than 64GB (I'm not a big cloud user). So now that we won't see it until August, I'm looking for alternatives...

    Still a good purchase?

Hi! So there's a carrier here that offers the Pixel 2 XL 128 GB in clearance at a very very good price. Given Android 11 will be the last OS update it gets, I'm on the fence about it. But also, I know this one had some issues. The blue shift never bothered me when I checked it out in store so...

    Question for canadians

That's a shame... I'll probably wait to see if the Pixel 4a suits me then. Regular Pixel devices are too expensive for my budget and I'm not a huge fan of having only internal memory so I'm of course willing to get an OEM. I always get frustrated with devices without proper support. Samsung of...

    Question for canadians

I'm thinking of getting this phone. Have you gotten Android 10 yet?

I made an unofficial Sticky Notes app for Android (webwrapper)

Well I still have to answer from APK Mirror and I wrote them but got no reply so, here it is. If anyone's worried about security you can scan it. The app does not collect your data, your Microsoft account, your password, nothing. It's litterally just a webwrapper so, in other words, it's like a...

I made an unofficial Sticky Notes app for Android (webwrapper)

Cool! I'm just waiting for APK Mirror to publish it and I'll post the link here! :)

I made an unofficial Sticky Notes app for Android (webwrapper)

I found it annoying that Microsoft didn't have a Google Keep kind of app for Sticky Notes and that we needed to install OneNote or use the Microsoft Launcher to access them. Both solutions are a little overkill in comparison to having a direct app. Now I'm sure Microsoft will eventually make...

    Wired Internet for S9

Honestly, my first thought was "of course not" but actually there is an adapter that exists that connects to USB-C where you can plug an ethernet cable. https://www.amazon.ca/Anker-Aluminum-1-Gigabit-Compatible-ChromeBook/dp/B00ZZ6NW5E?tag=hawk-future-ca-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6731895 In the...

    why I can't delete Facebook?

Not quite. Deactivating a preinstalled app like Facebook leaves a stub. It's like an installator. When you deactivate the app, it's going to tell you it will have to replace it with the factory version which is that stub. It's what installs the actual app from the Play Store when you set up the...

    Google services vs. Microsoft services?

I don't know if you've used any Windows version after Vista, if you're just an anti-Microsoft type of person, if you're trolling or just living in 2001 but BSODs are thing of the past unless there's something actually wrong with your hardware or if you've installed crap that broke your system...

    Google services vs. Microsoft services?

I trimmed down your post for the quote ;) Yeah that's pretty similar to what I have now except I don't have Google Maps. I use Here WeGo. Then again I love the Microsoft authenticator which prompts you to connect instead of entering a password. It asks for your PIN so it's still prettu secure.

    Google services vs. Microsoft services?

Yeah I totally get that. But that's not my point at all. The point is first financially supporting a company I don't particularly like because of its business practices (their services are not free as so many like to claim, you pay with your data from which they make money) and second trusting...
