sounds like a problem with their software I would think there will be a fix for it soon, have you looked in the B&N forums?

I've had problems with mine charging, it wouldn't charge with the cord that came with it so Verizon replaced it with one of their generic charging cords. It doesn't seem to always want to charge with that one either, it always charges with a couple of my old BB cords. They have finally come...

I had to deal with them concerning my membership renewal. I did end up talking to them 3 or 4 times. It was a long slow process a little frustrating. But at least they were always courteous and helpful and speak clear English ;-). Customer service seems to be a problem for most big companies...

I have Windows 7 on my laptop and had to re-root my tablet after it installed the OTA update. For some reason my laptop did the same thing you said yours is doing so I tired it on an Windows XP PC, it worked fine on that machine.

I'll be doing the same I guess since I bought an extended battery from Verizon and it didn't come with a charger! Seems crazy to have to charge them in your phone! How are you charging them? I didn't see a charger on Verizon or Amazon?
