Flickering Specks and Lines Normal?

Just bought a Nook Tablet. The only problem I'm seeing, unless it's normal for an eReader, is the specks and lines that flicker occasionally. I don't find it when watching movies. But it will be seen in menus, online store, and the books themselves. Any insight on this would be appreciated. Will be checking with B&N later in the week.

I've had either a NookColor or Nook Tablet for over a year now, so have a few of my family members. I've never noticed flickers. It seems like that would be annoying when you were reading. I use mine mainly to read and watch netflix, which I do a lot of (reading mainly ;-) ). Never noticed any kind of flickering!
