    Blocking OTA Updates

Right now I'm using the stock ROM, as I literally just got the phone last night. I installed adwlauncher and use that now instead. I am used to using CM7 with my old Hero, but not sure which ROMs are good for this phone.

    [ROM] Cyanogenmod v6.0.0-RC1

What I meant was that the only notification of voicemail is those 9016 text messages, also there is no visual voicemail. Does the one in the EVO forum fix that?

    [ROM] Cyanogenmod v6.0.0-RC1

So far I am loving this ROM. I've had it for some time now, and the only thing I dislike is that I can't use my Sprint Voicemail, and I get those annoying text messages. Is there any way to get around this? Thanks.

    Backing up a ROM

If I back up my ROM and flash a new one, does the backed up ROM contain my scenes? Thanks

    Lagging on DamageControl 2.1

That was the ROM I used. IcedHoneyBun.... it crashed while using WiFi Tether, and also took FOREVER to load.

    Lagging on DamageControl 2.1

I tried using Honeybun, but it crashed for me and so I decided to use DamageControl. I am having some seriously annoying lag issues. Keyboard lag, call lag, etc. Is there a better sense ROM that I can use that is less laggy? Or is this just how 2.1 is? Any help would be appreciated.

    New to the HTC Hero

Welcome to Android! I just got my Hero as well. I've had it for a little over a week and I'm loving it. I have a few apps that work with Stock. Beautiful widgets is one that I love. You have have the HTC clock and weather, but with any skin you want. I also have some fun games: Traffic Jam...

    Insane call/dialing lag, HELP ??

My phone is rooted (running DamageControl) and I'm having this same problem. It's ridiculously frustrating. I really like the DamageControl ROM (other than the lag problem) I'd prefer to not flash my ROM, but will if I have to. What can a rooted user do?

Finally Did it! .... Now What?

Yes. Sense is working, just not the widgets. I was prompted to go through a tutorial. The HTC Scenes aren't working either, except for the default one, but none of the widgets show except for Sprint TV and NFL (the ones I don't use) >.<

Finally Did it! .... Now What?

My HTC widgets are missing. I'm using DamageControl, and according to the site, they should be there. I tried clearing HTC Sense Data, but it didn't work. :(

Finally Did it! .... Now What?

I was finally able to root my phone with the AWESOME help of rufflez. He walked me through it step by step. The first ROM crashed on me, but I was able to install another one on my own :) My question is this: My HTC clock/weather widget is gone! :( I loved that thing! Is there a way to get it...

    Sense UI on Rooted Phone

Espresso dialer? How do I know which ROM is for me? I'm totally 100% new to all of this. I've had an iPod Touch for over a year, and never even considered jailbreaking, and I've never hacked anything. LOL

    Sense UI on Rooted Phone

Okay, so I think I'm finally going to take the plunge and root my phone....maybe. My next question is this: I actually kind of like the Sense UI. I want all the features of rooting (2.1, tethering, getting rid of those blasted Sprint apps) but I also want to keep some of the Sense things like...
