I have some old android phone and battery is still pretty good. I agree with OhAlfie that you shouldn't be scary non removal battery. After 2 years new phone is worth maybe 50%, when is used even less. If you really want to change battery after this 2/3 years you can buy one from aliexpress or...

First what you mean "screen wont rotate" ? in game or apps? or just in home screen. Second what device you have? If problem is only in home screen it looks like your phone producer turn off this option in new OS release. If you have to have it try some other launcher.

It's hard to say what is wrong with your device. I have once similar problem (but no root). I update software and now i don't have such problem. If you don't want to go for 5.0 make sure you have the newest version of 4.4.2, i think they fix it in newer version.

They might factory reset. You have to: Settings -> Storage ->Icon in right top corner -> MTP

I think samsung is a bad example. They have big problem with launcher and every new OS is more laggy... but i read that they trying to solve this problem and it's getting better. People who install M Preview says that it works faster than 5.1 so there is a hope :P

I google your phone and it get 5.1.1 and have some nice hardware. If I ware you I'll upgrade it.
