Considering switching from EVO 3D to SGSII

Went from original EVO 4G to EVO 3D and then Epic 4G Touch. Was extremely happy with EVO 4G but did not like EVO 3D at all. GPS issues and pool call quality. Now I am happy again with Epic 4G Touch. Everything I liked about my trusty EVO 4G and much, much more. I liked Sense but TouchWiz on...

    phone hard case

They do not make Otterbox Defender or Trident Kraken type of cases for this phone yet. I had both in the past and between the two, I like Trident Kraken much better, better protection and better design. Other choices which provide the next level of protection are Ballistic Shell Gel (SG case)...

    Voice navigation issue

Yup. While playing around with the phone, I changed the TTS to Samsing TTS and began getting random xml url verbage. Changing TTS back to Pico TTS fixed it right away.

    Seidio suface case in development.

I agree with tkemack's assessment of Active case. Another big issue with Sedio Active case is that the tabs on the plastic skeleton outer layer keeps breaking even if you do not take the if off after you put it on. Even though the Active case was kept in my wife's purse all the time and she...

Any cases from Trident or Otterbox?

Looks like Trident is "finally" getting ready to release Aegis case in Nov at $24.99. I did not see Kraken or Cyclops case on their web site so I assume it will be just Aegis. http://www.cyclopscase.com/samsung-galaxy-s-ii/ And Ballastic is getting ready to release their Shell Gel case at...

    Otter Box: Defender Series

Was it really easy to remove the screen protector? Funny, I was thinking of doing the same thing but was not sure how hard to get it off.:D I like the fact it added some bulk. For me the phone without the case was too thin to hold comfortably when I am using the "phone" fuction. (Yes, I use it...

EVO 3D - GPS Issue: A Known Issue to Sprint

A good suggestion. :) I think I tried it both ways, at least when I was checking this at my house. I will try again this evening when I get home. I get a really weak gps siginal in the building where I work. My EVO 3D also prompted for some updates this morning Watch, etc, and after accepting...

EVO 3D - GPS Issue: A Known Issue to Sprint

I called Sprint customer service yesterday for something else (an account issue) and I asked her about the gps issue. According to the rep, this was a known issue. It is great that you work for the Sprint in the repair area. You may have access to more detailed information. Would you check and...

EVO 3D - GPS Issue: A Known Issue to Sprint

According to a local Sprint store, there is an issue known to Sprint with the new EVO 3D's gps. The gps coordinate/location never stays put. Even when you are not moving, the gps coordinate will jump around. In my experience, it jumps around as much as 50 - 60 yards. According to the Sprint...
