My N7 came with transformers back in Aug. Oh and all of these extras are for a "limited time".

Same thing happens to me. It's a bit annoying but not a big deal.

Personally I bought the N7 as a "portable device" and see no need for video out. If I want to watch videos on the TV I have plenty other options.

I have to hold down the power button for a long time almost every time I turn it on. My solution, I don't turn it off unless I feel it needs a restart.

Try pressing and holding the power button only. I'm betting if you hold it long enough it will come on.
