Moto X - Kit Kat Update

Just did the update, 2 issues, ( At T ) 1. The top notification with the signal strength, etc is now white, was blue ( not major ) Did like the blue contrast though 2. GSAM battery monitor is not working with the update ? One thing I do not like is the dialer, I like the " full screen "...

    Bad Idle drain

Seemed to have solved my issue, got rid of the Facebook app, even though all notifications and syncing was off, wakelock detector had it opening over 120 times in an 8 hour time frame, I now access it thru the browser instead of the app.

    Normal Android OS Percentage ???

Yes, I will admit I am a noob when it comes to the phones however what is considered a " normal" Android OS percentage of battery life, Mine averages between 18-21%, I have read some threads where the goal is single digits, doesn;t this figure change depending on what applications one is using...

    Bad Idle drain

I also have a high Android Os, it usually runs about 22% of battery life, the biggest offender seems to be Facebook even though location, notifications and sync is off IN a 9 hour period Facebook was awake a whopping 120 times, I will probably uninstall the app and just log in via chrome.

So does everyone have "loose" buttons?

Just checked mine, my power button is slightly loose if I grasp the button with my nail, I can slightly move it up and down and if I shake the phone I can hear a slight rattling, should I exchange it, this Wed is the end of the 14day period.

    I think it's a keeper !

Approaching the 14 day return policy, I think I have finally gotten the LG G2 out of my head, have read many issues with lag even with that monster processor, well the two features that I absolutely love are the active display and the bluetooth trusted device, not a big fan of the touchless...

Why Moto X over LG G2

Why would you choose the Moto X over the LG G2, I have over a week till my 14 days are up, this was the only device that I had a hard time deciding over after I ruled out the HTC One and the S4. The main issue for me is not the specs but sometimes I want a smaller pocketable phone, other times I...

    Battery Obsessiveness

I for one have been guilty for this, but as of now I am sitting at 58% battery at 13 hours w/ 1.5 hours screen time, wifi and bluetooth, as long as this phone last me like it is I am going to stop obsessing over the battery life, who cares if it goes 24hours with 6 hours screen time, last time I...

The following apps: ATT Address book, wireless display and audio effects, I have tried a task killer, also I have force stopped and disables these apps however upon powering up the phone they automatically restart, obviously they are factory installed, without rooting can they be permanently...

Anyone switch from a LG G2

I myself came down to the above devices but chose the Moto X, I am still in my two week trial period having even went back to look at the LG G2 once again, I keep reminding myself of the fact that I wanted a smaller pocketable phone without negatives of a smaller screen, the screen on the G2 is...

My largest battery drain seems to come from using Chrome, also the phone does get warm to the touch, are their any " battery friendly " browsers out their ? I tried Opera and Firefox however Chrome allows the font to be increased more dramatically .
