Open Google+ (the app) & go to Settings. There, under 'More' is 'Delete Google+ profile'.

With using a browser first, I'm able to find and message people back and forth, no problem. Doing so puts the people in the history tab of Messenger. But, even still, if I tap the magnifine glass and search for those people, none are found. What's up with that? The problem was reported...
