    Legacy Unlimited vs Beyond Unlimited

There shouldn’t be a difference in speeds but the new plan has a 22gb soft cap that may kick in and throttle speeds if you’re in a heavily congested area. You’ll be fine with the amount of data you use but be aware that video streams at 480p on the standard unlimited and the Beyond unlimited is...

Verizon to begin throttling video on all plans

You still can... on WiFi. That would likely be their reasoning for it anyway. But like many, if I’m on WiFi I can watch programs on a 55” 4K HDR TV so why bother with my phone? This is similar (although not equal) cable television in the sense that the majority of users have 4K/1080p yet cable...

Wonder if VZW will do anything to compete.....

Two of my friends have T-Mobile and both have more signal issues than I do. They’re both ready ready to switch back to Verizon because of it. This is in the Chicago area including the city and outer suburbs. I’m using an iPhone 7 on Verizon. Friend #1 is using an iPhone 7 on T-Mobile. Friend...

Wonder if VZW will do anything to compete.....

Verizon has never seen a reason to offer incentives to stay or switch to them. Truth is, their network is still superior to the others no matter how much advertising Sprint and T-Mobile advertise otherwise. I’d switch in a heartbeat if someone was better for less (or the same) because I am not a...

Lose Promo Credit if Paying off phone early??

Good to know. Verizon is giving me $27 per month in bill credits on my iPhone 7 and I was curious how this worked. Mine was due to a trade in on Black Friday ($650) so it would really suck to lose it. Not that I’d risk it, just was curious.

Verizon to begin throttling video on all plans

I remember the Thunderbolt! I had the extended battery with the bulky battery cover on it! Great phone despite many having issues mine was problem free.

Verizon to begin throttling video on all plans

480p looks pretty bad on my iPhone 7. I am okay with 720p but nothing lower. It just looks too washed out and lacks so much detail. I can see why some wouldn’t mind this but I’m a little bit of an elitist with picture quality.

Verizon to begin throttling video on all plans

The retail employees are in for an uphill battle that’s for sure. I do love how T-Mobile’s CEO always jumps on to rip Verizon. They’re doing some throttling of their own and their unlimited is not truly unlimited either. No one is innocent here because they all truly suck. But Verizon has...

Verizon to begin throttling video on all plans

This. I left Comcast a month ago which is about when they began advertising Xfinity Mobile. True Fiber with no data caps. Love it.

Verizon to begin throttling video on all plans

How did it go up by that much? It went up by $5 a month. The line access appears to be included in the plans.

Verizon to begin throttling video on all plans

Is it me or did the HD plan raise by $5 from the original unlimited that was offered? I don’t pay for Unlimited right now but their pricing says $90 now. This seems to include Line Access fee (guess they did away with that) but that’s $85 after $5 auto pay. Wasn’t it $80? Edit: Yes, they did...

Weird technical issue Iphone vs Note 4/5

I'd like to know also because I am around people with all types of phones and my iPhone 7 doesn't cause any of these issues for them.

Anyone being throttled after 22gb on new unlimited plan?

I haven't even come close but I'm seeing mixed experiences. Those that have been throttled at 22GB are dropping to 0.8Mbps. Others are hitting 100+Gb used and no throttle.

    YouTube TV

This is different though. Chicago Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks never get blacked out on television now a days. It's been a long time since they were. The Cubs were blacked out because ABC will not allow the game to be streamed on the internet even if it's a cable service such as YouTube TV or...

    YouTube TV

Honestly, it's most likely because of sports. Almost everything else is accessible through other legal means. The streaming passes for sports sold by the leagues blacks out local games meaning since I'm in Chicago I can't see Chicago play on it. It's either cable or nothing.
