At the end of the day regardless of design most of us buy the Nexus/ pixel phones for the pure up to date Android software. The design and any extra features are not going to make or break my purchase decision. Just my 2 cents.

I'm kinda late to this but with Verizon I'm paying $160 plus tax for 4 lines unlimited talk, text and data. Even if I could convince the wife and in-laws to switch to a pixel phone and project fi I don't think it would save us much tbh. I just stick with my unlocked pixel 2 XL on Verizon :)

I agree the touch issue at least in my case causes the screen to jerk back and forth really fast if I'm holding 2 points on the screen playing a game. It's random but really annoying. I'm hoping they can fix it with a software patch but we'll see.

Or just use ADB to enable immersion mode and set exceptions for apps that you want the navigation bar and status bar to show. There is my homescreen vs discord. No apps are required just an ADB command.

I own a pixel 2 XL and a 2017 iPad 9.7. I prefer these devices where they fit in my life and would never want an iPhone as I get the best of both worlds imho.

I'm digging this currently app is called authentic weather. There are no ads and only IAP unlocks dark mode for 99 cents. You can display temp but it's already on the Google widget so I have it hidden.

Use Metal it replaces both Facebook and Twitter uses little resources and has black themes. The full version is available for free of charge but you can donate if you want to the dev.
