    Smartphones these days

Yeah or soon to end, not sure since the slightly older regular S10 series ended early this year, and they are in quarterly deployment this year. It sucks also that many phones do not have an option to run a custom OS cause of locked bootloaders, cause of done right you could extend the life of a...

    Smartphones these days

Remote storage may work for most people who keep just media, but I need to have locally mounted storage. I not only keep an archive of APKs that I need access to all the tine, but I also use tons of space for emulator images (I'm big into mobile emulation of retro computers), and alot more...

    Smartphones these days

They need to bring back memory card slots in high end phones. I find it pathetically unacceptable to sell S series phones that have 128 or 256GB of storage and no slot, especially with how obscenely high the prices are lately. Most low and mid end phones have the slot, there is no reason other...

Question Ascolto web radio in background

Even Samsung aggressively kills apps more and more, I have problems w/ Accubattery and similar apps that need to monitor stuff persistently in the background and even my antivirus is no exception (it does though make me disable battery optimization for it which OP should try on their phone w/...

Question Ascolto web radio in background

I translated this with google so I'll answer... Get firefox (or any browser based on it) and if you still have issues get the add-on called "video background play fix".

    SD card cases?

Yeah, looking at the A54 5G for $279. Has less RAM and somewhat weaker GPU than the S10 Lite but it actually has an SD slot unlike the Pixel. The S10 Lite's battery has its days numbered and the screen is absolutely ravaged by an incredible amount of burn-in (I'm a very heavy user and keep my...

    SD card cases?

Yeah I am aware of that, I use USB drives all the time on my mobile devices. I guess I'll probably go for something else when upgrade time comes cause an SD card that is directly plugged into the phone at all times is a necessity. I'm a fair bit performance-focused when picking phones, but if I...

    SD card cases?

I've been looking at a deal at my local Walmart for a P6A that is only $200 with my carrier, and I would have snapped it up if it wasnt for the fact that it only has 128GB of storage and no SD card. Do SD card cases, that just work and support both fast file access and full speed charging, exist...

Question Norton scan - Auto Hotspot PUA

I personally use Kaspersky, it false alarms the least (even less than Play Protect, and also catches malwarr that Play Protect will not) although it still will spit a false positive here and there in some cases but at least it is pretty good at telling you what the reason is.

Question Norton scan - Auto Hotspot PUA

I'd just leave it alone, it's harmless and is a false positive. Norton is a junk anti-virus, and unless you are downloading apps from outside the Play Store it's enough to use Google Play Protect which is enabled by default.

Question Norton scan - Auto Hotspot PUA

I thik it is a system app, their is a feature on Samsung phones called "auto hotspot". It's probably a false alarm. I'd disable it if you don't need it.

Question Norton scan - Auto Hotspot PUA

My idea, I'm simple terms, was to basically have you create a backup of the app's package file and share that so that I could have a look to see if it's really malware or just a false alarm by your anti-virus (Norton is kinda notorious for false detections along with McAfee). Given that you know...
