The Mod's Battey is only used when the Mod itself is being used. When you're playing music through the JBL MotoMod, it will start to use the battery inside the Mod. However, it won't use the Mod battery with just regular phone usage.

Really hoping that for next year. I have it, and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Great as a vacation or outdoor camera. Not so great if you're into indoor pictures.

So when you connect to wifi on your Moto Z Play, your laptop and Xbox would disconnect? I just want to make sure I understand the issue correctly.

Lenovo has pretty good laptop deals; but I don't know about the phones. But hey, wait a few weeks and we'll see :)

It's sort of like hard rubber. Better than the Verizon's plastic. The Incipio is more gripper and has a better feel to it; but you have to take off the case to add or remove a mod (kinda annoying)
