What to replace a LG G7 ThinQ with today?

if I had to buy a new phone today, it would be a V60. But since the G7 still works, even with all the network changes going out, best to just use the G7 until it dies. There are even replacement batteries you can buy, and any local phone repair shop can install them for you.

Will my phone really not work come January?

So January is here and the phones are working. So anyone still with issues with providers complaining about your phones needs to get a compatible LTE sim card, as this support is based on the sim. The phone itself is fully hardware capable.

Will my phone really not work come January?

I have some information that might make all of you guys happy. I was told by Safelink Wireless that VOTLE is a function of BOTH the phone *AND* the sim card. Basically, if the phone itself is VOLTE compatible but the sim card is not, then the phone will be reported on their system as not...

dial *#546368#*710# Go to field test, engineering mode, LTE band selection. If you on t-mobile mess around with the normal bands 2, 4 and 12. Any band which shows data /4G activated after about 5-10 seconds means that band works with your carrier. You need to go to Network Mode and set it back...

Best way to resolve this problem is to change bands. But you have to know which bands Verizon supports. For GSM LTE, changing from band 4 to band 2 greatly improved MMS messages and removed all lag with SMS messages. I'm not sure about WCDMA. Sometimes only a call to their higher level tech...

Samsung G9+ vs LG 7 vs LG V30

Isn't the V35 out and the V40 coming extremely soon? Or is the V35 too expensive?

G7 Users: As the latest phone from LG, how's the signal strength?

No problems with reception on the G7. Worked better than the international version of the G6. (Not sure how the US versions of the G6 were however).

    Disappointing HIFI DAC?

The hifi dac is not activated unless impedance is higher than 50 oHms. It uses the regular onboard mode. You would need to find a RCA to RCA (male to female) adapter (or more like an extension cable, as a straight non changing (basically a tiny extension cable) adapter really doesn't make sense...

    Two months in: G7 review

4G and LTE are technically indeed the same, although there is confusion regarding 4G and 4G+. The way to deal with T-mobile's lag problems is to change bands. You should be able to change between band 2, 4 and 12. Find whichever one gives you the best performance. When changing bands, make...

Want 6gb ram. Will it work the same in US?

Not weird at all. LG only lists bands supported by the region. The phone is hardware capable of all bands shown on the box itself (mentioned on XDA forums). I don't know if bands not posted on the box will work after hardware flashing or not. I remember the LG G6 international version had...

Anyone thinking purchase unlocked LG G7

I'm using the 6 GB unlocked G710EAW (G7+) right now. The ad is accurate about the bands. LG's site is not. Band 2 and Band 4 are fully working.

Want 6gb ram. Will it work the same in US?

I know this is an old thread but I need to firmly correct you here: the Unlocked G710EAW *DOES* work on band 2 and band 4. I've tested it and it successfully uses it. The box shows all the available bands accurately.
