I don't know if this helps you, but I know that the Galaxy S4 has to be unlocked before a PC will recognize it for what it is and to be able to read the device. If the screen turns off and the device goes back to the lock screen, anything you were doing with the device onthe PC will be stalled...

The alarms on my device will go off at the proper time. After 1 minute they will either silence themselves or snooze themselves, depending on if I have snooze activated on that particular alarm. Posted via the Android Central App
