I had a look at my sim, has some nice scratches in it, has been used in quite a few phones over the years now that I think of it. I ordered a new one and for now tried the 'little piece of paper under the card trick', hopefully that works till the new one arrives.

Like always when you do a google search on any Google phone you don't find much cuz Google phones are just not that popular. One old thread I found though is someone had the same issue with their 4A, they sent it to Google who changed the motherboard, other people in that thread did the same...

Yes this is a physical sim card. I'll see about getting a new one. I tried blowing out the port, is there some other way to clean it? I didn't think a sim car could wear out..?

Recently my 4A will lose connectivity, shows not network. When I go to settings in says no SIM car. If I restart the phone it works fine but I nenver no when it's gonna happen agsin. Sometimes it happens in the middle of a call. Tried clearing cache for the sim, didn't help. Frustrating.

Ya, different AC outlets, different power supplies, different cords. Mailing it off to the hospital tomorrow.

Ya, that's what I'm thinking. I live in a small town, no one here does that and not something I wanna tackle myself...

I mean you plug it in, nothing happens, sometimes putting the cord in the other way works, other times it doesn't work either way. Sometimes you plug it in and you hear the notification that it's charging, then it doesn't, then you hear the sound over and over like an intermittent connection...

Have tried numerous cables and chargers, no difference. Haven't tried it in safe mode, that's a bit of a hassle to do every time you want to charge it.

My wife's 2 year old 3A seems to have a charging problem. I've cleaned the port the cord plugs into numerous times but it's still very flaky charging when plugged in and turned on. Funny thing is as soon as you turn it off while still plugged in all the sudden it DOES charge? The phone has not...

I was gonna try that a while ago but wasn't sure what it would do. After not sowing any recent calls for almost a month I took the chance... ;)

Bought this Pixel 4A new, Android 11 installed. Phone history shows nothing new after Sept 28th, spent that day driving, didn't install any apps that day. I've Googled the problem but haven't found a solution, proper permissions allowed etc.

Didn't know that. I know I get some notification it ends sometime in 2021.

Ya, and I might be wrong but does anyone else give 2 year warranties? I got my replacement when the phone was 2 weeks past warranty, it took persistence though. They sent me a replacement when my 6P was bending too so I'm guessing my next phone will be another Google, the free photo storage...
