Try signing in to the Ford owner site and see what it tells you about your updates. And I have done the slider. With my wife's S6, it has tried to load Android Auto, but only for a second, and then it disappears.

I do use Android Auto in my Silverado. And yes, I am using a USB cable. I don't get it.
