You can't port chats from IPhone (which backs up to iCloud) to an android device (which uses Google Drive) by simply swapping the sim over. There are some programs out there that purport to be able to do this but I found their reviews sketchy at best. I gave up in the end and have survived...

There was one comparison video I watched where a guy opens a ton of apps on both devices and then clicks on them again. The Note 8 kept more apps open in the background than the iPhone. I would argue that in real world scenarios you'd be pushed to notice a difference in speed between the two...

I completely screwed up my Whitestone Dome install and I'm usually very good at things like that. Had to bin it. That said I couldn't bear the smell of the glue! I'm now using a wet install film and I'm happy with it. Was painful to bin a $45 product though. My bad.

I thought my Note screen was warmer than my S8+ but I went into a Samsung store this week to compare. My display was exactly the same as all the demo units. Funny, since seeing that it doesn't seem warm anymore!

I was in the Samsung store on Oxford Street Monday and they had plenty of Notes for sale. Sales assistant said sales were brisk. But they seemed to be well stocked.

I like Bixby. If you persevere and learn what it can do there are occasions where it can be really helpful. That said, I'm not convinced it needed a dedicated button. It's not going away either. Friend of mine is high up in Samsung and he tells me they're ploughing millions into further...

I must admit. I'm being pretty precious with my new Note 8 at the moment. It's just so new and shiny and gorgeous. I'm always careful with my phones but I seem to be being extra careful with this one!
