I believe you will need to copy the TiBu folder from your SD card root to your computer because TibU backs up to your phone. It is not like the market where your paid apps are saved.

Check the I9000 dev section at XDA for updates on CM7 for the SGS. Codeworx and others are working hard at getting it prepared and no releases are happening until it is functional. Follow them on twitter as well if you use it.

What are you talking about?? What is dumb. And only CWM will not work if your update.zip isn't on the phone, and it is easy enough to put it back on by flashing or just putting the zip to your sd card root.

Technically all you need is the update.zip for CWM to work. And I don't remember having to flash a custom kernel, just root and have SU permissions. Since the SGS phones can't take full advantage of ROM manager we really just need the CWM feature.
