I switched from Verizon to Project Fi right before December 2016 and have not received any more updates... security or 7.1 Plus my Nexus 6p still shows the Verizon build.. I just want to know what is the problem ?

Dec 29.. project fi on a Nexus 6p still no update 7.1...what gives ?

Recently switched from Verizon to Project Fi 😁. Im confused.. I have the wifi assistant on for service, but should I leave the regular WiFi switch on at all times too . Im asking this for the Project Fi service not just to leave it on like others do in general . Thank You

Re: Confused I wish I received the update ! I have a unlocked nexus 6p with a verizon sim too. I personally think it's a marketing scheme to get people to buy a Pixel phone. Verizon probably asked Google to hold up since they are selling Google's new phone... a greedy partnership.

So you downloaded over the air ? Did it show up in updates or you forced it ?

I have a Nexus 6p on verizon... Why does the new 7.1 say except Verizon ? Also will we ever receive it or is this a block from Verizon to get a person to buy a Pixel ? I thought by the phone is not branded the update is coming from Google .

The update says it suppose to remove the Amazon appstore from the phone. After I updated my Note 4 the app was still there. I had to later uninstall the app myself .

I updated my phone with Kies on the computer using the usb cord .Worked like a champ

Re: still no update I finally update my phone thru kies on the computer and the usb cord. It worked like a champ, I notice it say 4GLTE at the top instead of just 4G.:cool:
