    CM7 for Optimus T

As far as battery use goes, if you go into settings>cyanogen mod>cpu and pick powersave governor it helps quite a bit.

    CM7 for Optimus T

For the camera bug I was able to use "camera advance" free from google market, works fine. 00tjonez, don't unzip the rom to your sd card, leave it as is, just copy it to your sd and use "flash from zip" in recovery.

    Nandroid backup question

on your sd card there should be a nandroid folder with a dated nandroid backup, from within recovery choose Backup/restore > Nand restore, it will show your nandroid backup(s), choose the earliest date(if you have more than one) and confirm.

Ubuntdroid the Only Option for Opt T?

Yes, Mik's rom is very good, One thing that i noticed was that my battery was going down in less than a day, but switching from "smartass" governor to "powersave" in cm7 settings fixed that, now I only need to charge it overnight, (unless I use known drainers like maps or lots of wifi surfing.)

Ubuntdroid the Only Option for Opt T?

cyanogen unofficial I have been running Ubuntdroid for a couple of months, great ROM, the only thing that had me looking to replace it was the unclean shutdown issue, which caused me to have to replace home screen icons after every reboot. I'm now running an "unofficial" cm7 from...

Ubuntudroid success on optimus T!, some issues though

fc on shutdown solved (sort of) It turns out an app on the market called "quickboot" can reboot, (or power-off) this ROM without FC issues!! The only issue I'm still facing is that sometimes the phone shuts itself down, and when I bring it back up many of the icons for apps on homescreens have...

Ubuntudroid success on optimus T!, some issues though

OK, I figured out the alternate punctuation from the "period" key on the "Gingerbread" keyboard, DUH! If I simply don't let off the key I can slide to the question mark or other punctuation, when I let go it works without putting the period, or comma first. It was a "pilot error" type deal...

    Ubuntdroid4 - Couple of Questions

You can use either setcpu (paid app) or Overclock widget from the app store. I don't have any experience w setcpu, but I run the overclock widget and have found that my optimus t can handle 749 for my "screen on" speed with no ill effects. running it any faster gave me some FC probs. The way to...

Conversation With T-Mobile A.K.A T-mobile Turd on MY Face

I recommend following the instructions in the Sticky titled (how to) root, recovery and ROM without touching a computer, in this forum, I printed the instructions from my computer for easy reading and to ensure I got the punctuation and spacing right. Worked like a charm!

Ubuntudroid success on optimus T!, some issues though

OK, after much reading and futzing with no joy I solved the predictive text issue. I simply downloaded the free gingerbread keyboard and set it as default in settings>lang & keyboard then again in any box in which I type, thank goodness, because I was considering going back to the stock rom if I...

Discussion for - Root, Recovery, and ROm without touching a computer

you can adjust font size by pressing the menu key while in terminal, I picked the one just below default and it made it legible.
