Since I got a new phone, my SD Card has been corrupted multiple times. I can easily fix the corruption when I connect my phone to the laptop with USB but that still does not entirely do justice. Whenever I download wallpapers (proper format and size) for my phone, it gets corrupt and I cannot...

I have checked it before. I have looked into the MNT folder which has the SD Card folder in it, but it seems to represent my external card, just the same as the other folder outside of MNT (if that makes sense)

Yes, that is one problem I made but I gathered that. I don't think that has anything to do with why I cannot locate my photo folder though.

Nope, I cannot. I only have one SD Card folder among other folders such as: - acct - bin - cache - sys - system and many more.
