    Lock Screen Flaw/Fault

Actually, setting the lock to default and then changing it again seems to do the trick. Not sure why the fault exists, and shouldn't have to do it, but at least it does the job. cheers

    Lock Screen Flaw/Fault

Thanks, but it has always been set to "swipe to unlock", never changed. Since the update, swipe can be bypassed. Same with other unlock options.

    Lock Screen Flaw/Fault

Im running 5.0.2 but yesterday my phone did a software update (24.41.53) and ever since then the lock screen has developed a fault/flaw: previously, to lock the screen I could just press the power button once and to unlock it I'd slide the little padlock up. Now, I can still lock it as normal...

    Screenshot App

Hello. I have a Moto E 2nd Gen and I was wondering if anyone can suggest something like a "shake to take screenshot" app. I realize I can press the power+volume button to take a screenshot but I have a thick protective case on my phone which makes it almost impossible to press the physical...

What is a good Android Tablet?

Good Android Tablet I was thinking about replacing my slightly dated laptop with an android tablet. The only requirements I have are for it to be a decent size (nothing smaller than about 10") and with exapndable memory to about 128gb. preferably not too expensive too. Anyone got...

    Anyone Using 5.1 Yet?

When it's plugged into the USB charging it is almost impossible to swipe between home screens or pull down the notification center (it just bounces right back up without going fully down), plus trying to use the swipe text is a no go: just doesn't register cohesive or sensible words at all but...

What is the best keyboard app to use for a heavy texter?

Best Keyboard App To Use For A Heavy Texter I got a Moto E today and although the default google keyboard is ok it is virtually impossible to type or swipetype anything on it when it is plugged into the usb charging port. If this is a system fault I'll be getting rid of this handset asap but if...

    Anyone Using 5.1 Yet?

Hello. I bought a Moto E today for my first android and it's virtually functionless when plugged into a usb charging port. It is running 5.0.2 out the box and there seems to be plenty of reviews on the web about how bug-y this version is, but does anyone have 5.1 yet? (without rooting the phone...

    Random restarts 2015 LTE

I have had the Moto E LTE for half a day on the 5.0.2; it is my first andorid and I can tell you that within half a day the battery is totally flat (might not have been fully charged when bought, didn't really notice) and that when plugged into the usb charging port on my laptop there is almost...

Memory Partition on Moto E (2015)

Hello. I'm looking around for my first budget android phone and was wondering if someone can tell me if the 8GB Moto E has the "newer" type of memory partition so I can make full use of the entire 5/6GB after the OS for emails and messages storage? (I understand some manufacturers use the...

Worth Getting Lollipop on Budget Level Phone?

Hello. I was thinking about buying either the new Moto E or one of the new/older Moto G's as they seem to have pretty good reviews for entry level phones, but I was reading reviews of Lollipop 5.1 which suggested KitKat 4.4 might be better suited to these budget level phones and not to upgrade...

What is a good handset for a first time Android user?

A Good Handset For First Android Phone Hello. I'm soon to get my first android phone and I've come to learn that some manufacturers use the 'older' method of partitioning memory, so some ~£100 handsets like Cubot/Elephone might advertise 16gb but you effectively only have 1-2gb to install apps...

Is The Partitioning Of Memory A Bad Thing?

Hello. I'm not a very technical person and I'm looking to buy my first android phone but I don't get the purpose of partitioned 'internal' and 'phone storage' memory on some handsets. I'm after a budget device (about £100) to put my sim in, for use mostly with SMS/whatsapp messaging and...
