Upgrading your device will brick it unless you unroot using a superuser program before you do the upgrade.

It actually worked til the phone got bricked trying to unroot it, I rooted the s4 to be able to change a number in the phone settings so texting would work over 3G and LTE worked fully

Nextbook are d-bags and have blocked rooting, there are guides to do this with this tab but it requires a ton of steps including an Ubuntu PC or live disc on windows of Ubuntu, custom recovery and installation of a new rooted android for this tab
