That same sim works in the phone I'm using at the moment, so I highly doubt that it's a SIM or carrier issue. But as I said, will definitely give it a shot, but it might have to wait for tomorrow (11pm in Cape Town at the moment). Thanks for the advice so far

Thanks, definitely worth a try. But it does the same for all the carriers. Do I just choose one? Any reason why the software doesn't allow me to select Manual or Auto? PS. Can you guys see the video I posted?

These screenshots were taken with the SM-G970F connected to wifi or not (shows the same).

The APN settings are exactly the same as my other phone I'm currently using (Galaxy S8). The only difference I can find in any of the settings is that the SM-G970F doesn't allow me to select Manual or Automatic Network selection as shown in the video above.

Model is SM-G970F Carrier (I'm assuming network provider) is Telkom in South Africa. But as mentioned, I've tried various others such as Cell C, Vodacom and MTN , which means I have covered the 4 biggest network service providers in South Africa. All give the same result.

So nobody here can explain or has seen this error where a phone can connect to the network when on wifi but fails to connect when wifi is not connected?
