I urge you to avoid Kies if at all possible. It bungled up my stuff and I heard similar stories from friends. If you do use it -- back up everything. I opted to go with a different software program.

I'm with you. Good case and screen protector. Refuse to take a new phone anywhere until it has these two things. No one I know has bought a warranty.

I bought the Google Nexus 7 to use for testing Android-related apps. I was surprised that one of my favorite games on another device is slow as molasses on the Nexus 7. Is it because of the Nexus or the game? The game plays fine on another device that came out a year before the Nexus 7.

There are a handful of sync software out there. Which one depends if you want to sync with cloud or without the cloud, USB or wireless, etc. Personally, I use AkrutoSync because I wanted wireless sync without the cloud. It also works with the calendar and contacts that I have on my Android. HTH!

Best bet is to use third party app, but the best one depends on your needs. Do you want to sync with Google cloud or Outlook.com (also cloud)? Or if you want to do direct between PC and devices, try AkrutoSync. That's what I use.

Almeuit is right. If you're able to upgrade your phone to Android M when it's available, it comes with Android Pay.
