You may have a defective phone. There is an app called GPS Test. Download and install. Run the program. Standing by my window, I get GPS lock in 4 to 5 seconds. This program is free and will confirm whether your GPS is working properly. Hope this helps M

Just tried to do this without success. Currently have 6GB tethered option. Was told I did not qualify. Tried to call back and this time the CSR said I see that you just called about this change and you don't qualify. Apparently they now document your requests. Bummer.
