I am trying to connect my ZTE smartphone to my PC. When I plug the device into the USB, Windows recognizes it as an optical device. When I try to add the device through the control panel, it doesn't recognize it at all. What am I missing? Thanks for your help

Thank you for your quick reply. I've now wiped the cache partition and removed the cleaning /boosting apps as you suggested. It seems to have made an improvement. Are there any apps you recommend for cleaning? I also noticed that the antivirus apps have tools included for boosting and such...
