    Cooldown mode?

Happened to me just after an update. Watch feels a bit warm, so I'm sure it's doing its thing.

Videos not attaching to Gmail anymore

Saving to the SD card, same as always. I know about the 25 MB limit, and it used to prompt me to compress them when they were too large. Now it just either sends an email with no attachment or it just sits in the outbox forever.

Can't get nearby sharing to connect

The article doesn't help, because it says a nearby contact "will pop up," but it never does. It just keeps searching until it times out, on all 3 devices.

Can't get nearby sharing to connect

I have 3 Android Devices, fairly recent; a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017), a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and a Samsung S9+. I have turned on everything I know about: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Location and Nearby Sharing. I can't get any of them to see each other. Did I miss something?

Videos not attaching to Gmail anymore

Videos taken with the phone, just like I always have. It just stopped working recently.

Videos not attaching to Gmail anymore

For quite awhile now, I have been able to send from the gallery by selecting the file, then "share" then selecting Gmail. and it goes as an attachment. I also tried attaching the file from within Gmail -same result. I've tried several files, same result.

    Excessive power drain on S9+

The only problem is that my wireless charger was barely keeping ahead of the power drain. So I switched to the corded charger, but it only lasted half a day. New battery too. However, it seems to have subsided lately, and it seems to be returning to normal. I wish Samsung would give us a heads...

    Excessive power drain on S9+

I got a notification that an app was causing excessive power drain, and it gave me the option to shut down the app. It was associated with Google Play somehow as a sub-app or something similar. It wasn't visible on the apps list, but Google Play was. When I went to change the settings under...

Videos not attaching to Gmail anymore

Until recently, I was able to send video files via Gmail on my Galaxy S9+. If the video was over 25 MB, it gave me a choice to compress it. This no longer happens. It just sits in the outbox until I delete it. This also happens with video files under the 25 MB limit, which previously would...

Galaxy Note 4: Battery Life Concerns Check Here First

I get about 18 hours on the power-save setting. I also use black backgrounds, because it means AMOLED elements aren't turned on, unlike LCDs, which only block the backlight, which remains on.

Note 4 battery only going to 80%

I've had my Note 4 since October 2014, and my battery still charges to 100%. However I estimate that it now has about 80% of the capacity it once had. I owe the longevity to the fact that I keep it topped-up as much as I can; connected to a charger at home, in the car, and at work all day. I...

Samsung note 4 S-view Flip covers issues

Hello 2016 calling. I had the same problem, and this solution saved me from all sorts of grief. I removed the back cover and attached again. The S-View flip cover now works fine.

flip cover doesnt work on note 4

I believe all third-party flip-covers for Samsung phones have received a cease and desist letter from Samsung, and no longer sell them.

    Front Facing Flash

There's an app that purports to use the display screen as a front-flash, but Samsung Galaxy reviewers say it doesn't work for them.

Battery myths. It is OK to leave your phone plugged in over night.

If there was an option to keep the phone battery charged to 65%, the battery would last for many years. The lithium battery in the Plug-in Prius hybrid cycles between 40-70% for that very reason; and it's warrantied for 8-10 years (depending on state laws). I understand that the "100% charge"...
