Because the option was introduced on the 9 series ( ⁠both 'Note' and 'S'). Doesn't exist on the 8 series.

Hmm, if this really worked, as in permanently, consider yourself lucky, because the com.enhance.gameservice package (aka "Game Optimizing Service") is still enabled and the service runs automatically at power-up.

( two years later ) For some reason the weather hasn't updated in about a week under Foreca as the provider. The other 3 providers that Transparent Weather Widget offers as standard choices ( Met.no, Weather Underground, and Open Weather Map ) are fine, but Foreca seems to have stalled.
