Found it after an epic series of tests - the culprit was: Settings>Apps>Apps>Nine>Notifications>Alert - No sound

Great idea; in fact, I'll give each their own distinct sound and report back.

If I delete an email via the notification bar, I immediately get my new email sound again and so I have to check to ensure that there is no new actual email. Any idea how to stop the email deletion sound? My email app providers (Nine) say that it's not by their design. The issue didn't exist...

I know but I see no way of fixing it but, if Nova keeps performing, I won't need Huawei's.

That's the thing - I'd just been given the phone as a hand-me-up from my son who did the reset.

No joy there either, sadly.

Just did that as you advised - same issue exists there.

The blank apps problem rectifies as soon as I touch the screen - all the recent app cards populate correctly. Any idea why they initially appear blank?
