For what it's worth, if you didn't buy it from Google, you'll have to take it back to the retailer if you're within 15 days. I went through something similar - Google is just another retailer from their point of view. I ended up returning mine to Staples and ordering from Google.

Well, looks like whatever the problem is, it's permanent. I bought it at Staples, but all the stores around here are out of 16GB models. I ordered another from Google. When it gets here, I'll take thus one back for a refund.

After an all-night charge, it's back to normal.

I'm using the factory charger on a stock Nexus 7. I'm going to let it charge overnight and see what happens.

Today I was reading a book using the Nook app when my Nexus 7 rebooted. When it came back up, the battery level had gone from about 50% to 15% so I plugged in the charger. Now it's down to 0% (but still says it is charging). Battery apps say zero volts and zero milliamps, but that's obviously...
