Depending on ambient noise its often necessary to adjust volume while on a call. Only way to do that is to remove phone from ear so screen comes on then use rocker or slider. Why cant I use rocker while still talking with phone to ear?? All prior phones could do this. Pain!!

The Nexus devices don't always get the new OS first. The Nexus S 4G didn't get ICS until 6 months after other phones already did due to bugs in getting it to work correctly.

No Wifi tethering but Easy Tether works great on the S 4G for USB tethering and does not require rooting.

I've got the Nexus S 4G and love it. Thinking of getting my wife the Galaxy Nexus. The ICS update for the S 4G was delayed many months so updates on the Nexus aren't always first as some claim. Still, its been a great phone.

Sprint just released a Nexus S 4G version of Swype with a new optional keyboard skin that seems much better than default. Download from sprint.swype.com. Turn off auto-correction to avoid constant full word errors.

Re: Email w/ delete from phone when deleted from server & vis-ver Just simple pop/smtp. The items I'm looking for are a limitation of the app, not the server. I'll take a look at MailDroid and see if it does what I need.

I use both Android and Amazon. I use Amazon because many apps are exclusives, such as the Angry Birds no ads versions. Some apps are cheaper on Amazon and currently they have one normally paid app up for free each day. I have no trouble looking at the My Apps in each for updates.
