My phone keeps getting the message charging stopped due to low battery temperature. It used to happen everynow and then but is becoming more frequent. I had to take the battery out and put it back in to make it charge again. However now it is not working. Is this a sign of the battery wearing...

So I have an S3 that was originally AT&T but its unlocked. I'm using my Rogers pay as you go on it at the moment except I can't do any firmware updates. Is it possible to use an AT&T prepaid sim to be able to get the firmware to update? Or can I update it if i just remove my rogers sim card...
